Concerning sin and judgment, Yah does not even spare nature. But the same is true when he pours out blessings.

Shalom, and happy morning to you. When Adam sinned, as the prince of this world, everything around him was altered, going from a state of purity to being tainted with spiritual, and eventually physical, blight. Yah pronounced several curses at that time, even cursing the very ground Adam tilled as his livelihood. (See Genesis 3:17). As time passed, man became so wicked that his wickedness spread to all corners of the earth, so that even the animals, the birds of the air, and creatures that scurry on the ground were considered corrupt. But more than that, the earth itself was ripe for judgment.

11 Now the earth was corrupt in Elohim’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And Elohim saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And Elohim said to Noah, I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

—Genesis 6:11 – 13

When it comes to sin and its severe judgment, Yah does not even spare nature. But the same is true when he pours out blessings. There are many passages in Scripture that speak of nature joining the redeemed in celebration. Not least is this one, spoken to the people of Israel long ago:

12 For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

—Isaiah 55:12
