Shalom, and happy morning to you. It is one thing to read Scripture, go through various lessons and learn what they all mean, but it is another thing entirely to put those things into practice during testing and trial. What we read every day and comprehend needs to be lived out eventually, for only by applying what we know does it truly become a part of who we are. And this is true of anything you have learned over the course of your life.
If you’ve ever had bike riding lessons, you’ll remember that a set of instructions are first given along with a demonstration. And if you were really young you were probably allowed to use training wheels. But after a time of practice and training, you are eventually tested by having to really ride, proving that all the practice has prepared you for the road or bike path. Education is no different: we study for a time and then we are tested on what we have learned. Well, Yah does the same thing in our lives. After a time of reading and studying Scripture, Yah will place us in real-world situations that are meant to test what we have learned and allow us to put it into practice.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which Elohim has promised to those who love him.
