A nation is only truly blessed when it is under the protection of Yah and has his backing.

Shalom, and happy morning to you. Most of the world considers a nation like America to be blessed, owing perhaps to its many years of prosperity—which has its foundation in slavery, truth be told. In fact, any rich nation with an eye toward modern industrialization will be seen in this way, but physical wealth and prosperity alone do not amount to blessings. Many nations that once enjoyed that category are long gone, if not forgotten.

What is more, these are all nations established and chosen by man, for whatever selfish aim they set out to accomplish, the result of which is usually vainglory. No, a nation is not truly blessed when it is founded and governed by men who operate far outside the laws of Yah; it is not truly blessed even if it is built up to a level of wealth and power among all nations, for that status is fleeting and temporary. A nation is only truly blessed when it is under the protection of Yah and has his backing. A nation in whom his name resides will not fade from the scene, nor be forgotten forever. This is the case for the people of true Israel, whom Yah has chosen. They will be considered truly blessed, for it is written:

12 Blessed is the nation whose Elohim is Yah, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
