In this episode, we explore the incontrovertible truth that Yah does nothing by chance, including bringing you into existence.

The fact that you are a living, breathing being means that you made it into the world—this immense training ground—through Yah’s careful planning. It didn’t happen by chance, or accident, or through some fluke people like to propose in their idle banter. Yah knew you would be here, and he was expecting you the very moment you arrived. And now that your eyes are open to certain truths, whether you know it or not, he has been nudging you onto this path all your life, through certain circumstances, via certain key individuals, and through wise choices and even some of the mistakes you’ve made in life. He has been guiding your steps in some sense here and there despite your reluctance, and even given your ignorance of the fact.
It was determined who you would be born to, how you would arrive, and even where and when your birth would take place. Yah knew how you would look, down to the most minute detail, and he even knew what shortcomings you would display and the talents you would possess. He downloaded you with certain inclinations, and while many of those have led to sinful acts, they can still be tuned to righteousness. He knew you from the womb and was intimately familiar with every aspect of your being, and he determined exactly how long you would be upon this earth. The Psalmist writes:
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
—Psalm 139:13 – 16
If you are one of his—and most likely you are if you’re absorbing this message—he has determined your purpose long ago. Everything that will ever happen in your life was already known, and all your previous experiences and actions, your narrow escapes, your numerous life lessons, led to you being here at this moment, considering this most important aspect of your life. Who your parents, siblings, or distant relatives are is irrelevant, as none of them—despite what “experts” say—determined who you would be. If your parents are destined for the lake of fire, it doesn’t mean you are. Likewise, if they are bound for the Kingdom, that does not apply to your life.
“The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.”
—Ezekiel 18:20
The only thing Yah needed from your parents, in other words, were the genetic materials used in forming you. Again, your being here was not a thing of chance. Yah does nothing by chance. Everything is carefully planned in a systematic manner. Consider the week of creation. Yah made everything in an orderly fashion, bringing forth certain material things in preparation for others. Light, the separation of waters, the firmament (which allowed for the atmosphere) and land was established prior to plant life coming into existence, because soil was needed to support them, as was light and water. Aquatic life filled the seas that were prepared for them. Birds filled the skies and ate from the vegetation that was prepared for them, and so forth and so on. Last of all, as his crowning achievement, Yah made man, to enjoy, oversee, and make use of all that came before him. Even in this, Yah’s actions were unselfish.
“For thus says Yah, who created the heavens (he is Elohim!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!) “I am Yah, and there is no other.”
—Isaiah 45:18
Since Yah has gone to such great lengths in creating every natural thing around you, know that he did it out of pure love; love for you, who he already sees standing before his throne (again, if you are one of his). You were also brought forth as a result of that unique and unfathomable love, and since you were brought forth, now you, like everything you experience in nature—the wind, sunshine, birds, bees, flowers—yes, you were also created for a specific purpose. You can examine so many natural things that have vastly different yet important purposes, but in doing so, consider this: why would Yah fail to assign a purpose to one of his most important creations on earth—you?
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
—James 1:17 – 18
If Yah has determined the specific and unique purpose of everything in nature, to the benefit of all that exists, he has also determined your purpose as well, but learning that purpose will mean yielding yourself to him, and coming fully into his fold after withdrawing from the world you’ve been accustomed to. It will mean living for Yah and no longer for yourself. It will mean fulfilling his interests and not your own. It will mean being about the business of the Kingdom, and furthering its establishment, while rejecting the alluring aspects of this wicked world. It will mean setting yourself apart to be used in his service, so that you can carry out your purpose in its fullness.
WEEK 2
If you are willing and ready to do these things and more, then knowing your purpose is not far off. Yah is longing to reveal it to you, but you must prepare yourself for that calling. Walking out your purpose will mean being transformed and renewed. In the same sense that a caterpillar isn’t suited to the function and purpose of a butterfly, the elements are already in place for the caterpillar to do that work once their transformation is complete. This spiritual metamorphosis must take place in your life in order for you to carry out the work that will be built into your purpose. And like the caterpillar, which becomes encased in a personal cocoon, hiding its change from the world, your transformation must come from within, starting with your heart and mind.
Over the next 11 weeks, I’m asking you to continue this journey with me; not a journey to figure out a career path, or how to busy yourself and fill your life with meaningless activities. In fact, we’ll be seeking to clear out the clutter and pare things down so you can focus on the most important aspect of your life: what it is Yah has truly called you to do in service to him. If you are hearing Yah’s voice at this time, know that he has chosen you.
“But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! Thus says Yah who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.”
—Isaiah 44:1 – 2
Remember that our purpose, and our plans, must derive from Yah. This 12-week journey will involve listening to this message one week at a time, while applying its principles to your life. The 12 parts should not be binged in one go, otherwise it defeats the purpose of the journey. If you have already viewed the series one week at a time, then feel free to binge in another viewing.
THINGS TO DO OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT WEEK
First, listen to this message several times and review its various points.
Keep this in mind:
Yah has determined a purpose for everything in nature, and he made you for a specific purpose as well.
Reflect on this verse of the week:
“Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.”
—Isaiah 46:3 – 4
Ask yourself this question:
What must I do to start removing myself from this wicked world so that I can set myself apart for Yah and be ready to fulfill my purpose for him?
