Shalom, and happy morning to you. In each and every generation, Yah sends messengers to warn his people. These messengers come in various forms and from different walks of life. But the one thing they have in common, be they king or priest, patriarch or prophet—is that they each carried messages from Yah for the benefit of the people. But in each and every generation, something else happens as well. Other messengers are raised up with alternate voices and words opposed to Yah. The people, by and large, reject Yah and his warning messengers and choose to listen to the false words of self-proclaimed prophets, visionaries, and so-called “teachers” supposedly sent from Yah.

The words of caution and warning from Yah’s true messengers are often hard for the unrighteous among his people to bear. Yet those words in effect expose the sins that are causing the people’s harm and ultimate downfall, so they can turn and repent, and be healed. Instead, they prefer the words of false prophets and messengers, who will lead them to death and destruction.

14 Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles that are false and misleading.
