Shalom, and happy morning to you. Almost everything comes with a manual; a written set of instructions that carefully walk you through the setup, function, or operation of a said device, gadget, tool, or piece of furniture, what have you. The more complex the item, the bigger the set of instructions. Somehow, we tend to comb through those instructions word for word in order to follow each step so that the setup of the item, or our understanding of its function, is complete, leaving us experts concerning its use.
Well, we ourselves—the most complex of all items on earth—come complete with a very big manual: the Scriptures. Within its pages are a grand set of instructions that will enable us to achieve mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. And those instructions were dictated by the very person who created us. He ought to know our best mode of operation. Were we to adhere to and abide by every word of those instructions we would all function at optimal level, and everything we attempted would prosper. King David certainly knew this, for, on his deathbed, he commanded the heir to his throne with these words—words we would be wise to follow as well:
3 . . . Keep the charge of Yah your Elohim, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. . . .
