Morning Morsels 055: Commit Your Deeds to Yah

The success of your plans will depend on your commitment to Yah.

View Transcript

Shalom, and happy morning to you. We all make plans in our life. We plan for the hour, the day, and the distant future. It is the nature of who we are. But a great deal of our plans fail because we have no power over circumstances, weather, people, and other outside factors. The major problem with many of our plans is that they are largely absent of Yah’s purpose.

There is a wise proverb we quoted (one of our favorites) in the first LKP Treasure Trove:

21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of Yah that will stand.

—Proverbs 19:21

This proverb essentially creates an algorithm that sets many of our plans up to fail, particularly when those plans are made apart from Yah’s great purpose. The simple truth is, if everything we endeavor to do is within Yah’s will, from our work to our own personal pleasure, then all of our plans will automatically line up with his. Therefore, those carefully laid plans would be marked to prosper. In short, were we to live up to the words of the following proverb, every single one of our plans would succeed.

3 Commit your work to Yah, and your plans will be established.

—Proverbs 16:3
