Shalom, and happy morning to you. If you know what it truly means to trust in Yah—to rely on him completely in all things—you will know what it is like to be a tree planted by the water. Water is a vital source of life, and for several millennia civilizations have sprung up and flourished simply because early peoples migrated to and fro until they settled near water.

Trusting in Yah with our all and leaning on him in all things is akin to being planted near life-giving waters. Rather than wait for ruin and being at the mercy of the elements, you would simply draw what you need from your life source. The same should be true with Yah. In large and small matters, in times of peace and turmoil, we should turn to him, consult his wisdom, and draw what we need from his unlimited source of power, for he is the living water that supplies us trees.

7 But blessed are those who trust in Yah and have made Yah their hope and confidence. 8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
