Peter and John were walking to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put at his usual begging position by the Temple gate (the one called the Beautiful Gate outside the courtyard), so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw that Yeshua’s emissaries Peter and John were about to enter, he asked them for some money.
Peter and John looked at him intently, then Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man did so eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Yeshua the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, and leaping up and down like a child, he began praising Yah aloud. He went into the Temple with Peter and John filled with joy!
The man’s behavior caused quite a stir, and all the people saw him walking and heard him praising Yah. When they realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were absolutely astounded! They all rushed out in amazement to Solomon’s Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John. A crowd of temple goers quickly gathered.
Peter saw his opportunity to address the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or righteousness? For it is the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the Elohim of all our ancestors—who has brought glory to his servant Yeshua by doing this. This is the same Yeshua whom you handed over and rejected before Pilate, despite Pilate’s decision to release him. You rejected this pure, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer. You killed the author of life, but Yah raised him from the dead. And we are witnesses of this fact!
“Through faith in the name of Yeshua, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Yeshua’s name has healed him before your very eyes.
“Friends, I realize that what you and your leaders did to Yeshua was done in ignorance. But Yah was fulfilling what all the prophets had foretold about the Messiah—that he must suffer these things. Now, repent of your sins and turn to Yah, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of Elohim, and he will again send you Yeshua, your appointed Messiah. For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as Elohim promised long ago through his pure prophets. Moses said, ‘Yah your Elohim will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your own people. Listen carefully to everything he tells you.’ Then Moses said, ‘Anyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from Yah’s people.’
“Starting with Samuel, every prophet spoke about what is happening today. You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant Elohim promised to your ancestors. For Yah said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants, all the families on earth will be blessed.’ When Yah raised up his servant, Yeshua, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”
Everyone is in need of some sort of healing. Even though Yeshua is no longer physically here, he left the blueprint with his followers on how to seek, gain, and retain healing. As we watch, work, and wait for the time of refreshment, do you have faith in Yeshua’s name to be healed?
Yeshua Heals Series Summary
Let Yah be praised that he inspired me to start and complete this series. I hope that it was and will continue to be spiritually beneficial to my nieces and nephews, showing the different characteristics of Yeshua throughout our existence. He has been with us from the very beginning and will continue to be with us for all time. Even though he fulfilled many roles, and has many stations (teacher, brother, prophet, priest, savior, creator, son, farmer, king, carpenter, friend, healer, etc.), Yeshua’s main role is one of an obedient son, as he only does and says all that Yah his father instructed him to do and say.
Next on Yah’s list is to reclaim the earth, his wonderful creations, and his special possession, Israel, and all whom are joined to Israel in righteousness.
Yeshua is soon returning to do as he was instructed to. The same is true for us; we should do as instructed while we await his glorious return.
13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with Elohim’s righteousness. 14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
—2 Peter: 3:13 – 14
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. 2 And I saw the pure city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from Elohim out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, Elohim’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. Elohim himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
—Revelation 21:1 – 4
Even the Earth and all its inhabitants will one day be worthy to hold Yah’s throne! I look forward to seeing you all face to face in the Kingdom. Until then, let everything that has breath praise Yah!
1 Then the heavenly messenger showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb. 2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4 And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. 5 And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for Yah Elohim will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.
6 Then the heavenly messenger said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. Yah Elohim, who inspires his prophets, has sent his heavenly messenger to tell his servants what will happen soon.”
—Revelation 22:1 – 6
Shalom!
