Torah says that a fire is not to be kindled on the Sabbath day, but this law has a deeper foundation, meaning, and application than most think. It is not a surface-level interpretation, and discerning its deeper meaning requires a knowledge of the situation and particular circumstance that existed in Israel at the time this command was given. What it represents today, and even prophetically as concerns the higher spiritual application, is also quite interesting.
